June 14, 2021 – The Lynchburg Police Department has arrested one adult and four juveniles after an armed robbery on Langhorne Road this past Friday evening.
On June 10, 2021, at 6:37 p.m., officers responded to the 2000-block of Langhorne Road for a report of an assault. When officers arrived on scene, they determined that a juvenile male had been robbed at gunpoint by a group of five individuals. While he was held at gunpoint, he was punched and kicked by others.
Later that night, at 11:12 p.m., officers responded to the 6200-block of Old Mill Road for a report of a large disorderly group potentially involving the individuals who conducted the armed robbery on Langhorne Road.
Officers were able to deescalate the situation. Shortly thereafter, one adult and four juveniles were taken into custody. Detectives and officers recovered three firearms as well as cocaine. They also recovered property stolen from the victim. The following subjects were charged as follows:
- Reginald Patterson III, 18, of Lynchburg, is charged with:
- Assault by mob
- Robbery
- Grand larceny
- Use of firearm in commission of a felony
- A 17-year-old juvenile male is charged with:
- Assault by mob
- Robbery
- Grand larceny
- Use of firearm in commission of a felony
- Possession of a firearm under the age of 18
- A 14-year-old juvenile male is charged with:
- Assault by mob
- Robbery
- Grand larceny
- Use of firearm in commission of a felony
- 2 counts of possession of a firearm under the age of 18
- A 15-year-old juvenile male is charged with:
- Assault by mob
- Robbery
- Grand larceny
- Use of firearm in commission of a felony
- 2 counts of possession of a firearm under the age of 18
- Possession of a controlled substance
- False identity to law enforcement
- (subject was also wanted out of Henrico County for a probation violation)
- A 16-year-old juvenile male is charged with:
- Assault by mob
- Robbery
- Grand larceny
- Use of firearm in commission of a felony
- Possession of a firearm under the age of 18
