Lynchburg Police Department and the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies
The Lynchburg Police Department (LPD) obtained the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA) Accreditation in 1989. The accreditation process is an ongoing effort to ensure we continue to improve our performance, standards, and the services we provide to you.
Each year since 1989, our agency has maintained its commitment to excellence by ensuring reaccreditation.
As a part of the accreditation process, we also allow community members to provide feedback directly to CALEA concerning our accreditation. If you have comments, questions, or concerns, please visit http://cimrs2.calea.org/677.
